i found it easy to use the external stairs after pub hours to reach my room. my beautiful single room was very very comfy and tidy. the staff worked hard to organise afternoon tea for my cousins, we were all meeting up (it was a lovely reunion). a room was prepared for us. we had sandwiches, cakes, and drinks.
there was loud music from the pub until 1 am. i know i was above a pub, still the music was loud and i couldn't sleep immediately.
